How do you feel after wining the title?
I feel normal although I am a celebrity now. I feel that my responsibilities and duties have increased. I feel like a celebrity only when I have to perform certain duties and task as a Miss Nepal first runner up.

Are you treated differently after the pageant?
To some extent my social life has changed. After the pageant, people have started to recognize me and they highly appreciates me when I go to various parties and meet different people.

Are you satisfied with your title?
Yes, I am satisfied and I am happy with what I am right now because one should be satisfied with whatever one achieves.

Were you expecting to win the Miss Nepal title yourself?
Not only me every other contestants were expecting to win the title. And I know the best person has won that’s why I am very happy for Sitashma.

Did you have the slightest idea that you would be one of the titleholders of this pageant?
Well, I was blank till the round where top 5 contestants were announced. After being one of the top 5 contestants I wished to be among the final 3. Not because I was desperate to win but I wanted to gain some good memories and experiences. Now my wish has been fulfilled and I am very happy.

Is beauty equally important as brain in these beauty pageants?
Yes, I guess after all it is a beauty pageant but brain is a must. Beauty and brain must go hand in hand.

What are the requirements to win an international pageant?
In the first place I believe that one should think positively because positive thinking will help you to function properly both physically and mentally. Other than that you need to be smart, you need to carry yourself well and of course look good at all times and most importantly you need to be proud of being who you are.

Since you are a Campionite, did you ever participate in any Mr. and Miss… contest, which takes place in every Campion Institutions?
Although I did not take part in any of the competitions but it really helped me watching my friends who participated and performed. I learned a lot watching them.

Do you think young people should be concerned about the political situation of their country?
Well I think that they should be aware but not involve themselves completely. But these days the young people are busy making their own future by going abroad for further studies.

How will you introduce Nepal in Miss Earth?
I will surely have to mention the rich culture that prevails in our country, the deep moral values that we have grown up believing in and of course the natural beauty that lies in the lap of Himalayas that has made the world recognize NEPAL.

How exactly are you prepared for Miss Earth?
For now I am mentally prepared but soon I will be going through a various training sessions that will groom me even better.

What do you have to say to the protestors of Miss Nepal?
Well that’s their interest and this is ours (laughs). It’s a free country and people are allowed to express themselves.

Any current social involvement?
We the contestants of Miss Nepal 2007 are thinking to come together as a group to collect some money and other donations for the flood victims.

Any words of wisdom for the young Campionites?
Enjoy your life to the fullest. Study hard and be successful in whatever you do and lastly be optimistic always.
